FAQS - frequently asked questions

Useful information about the SOCCACUP

Our international youth tournaments offer unique experiences for your team. We are aware that some things have to be planned and coordinated in advance in order to participate. We want to keep the organizational effort for you as low as possible, which is why we keep all information transparent.

We have compiled some useful information for you on this page, but if you have any questions, you can always contact us by phone or email.

  • Why should my team take part in the SOCCACUP?

We want to convey the combination of sporting experience, exciting atmosphere and inspiring supporting program with our tournament trips. Our goal is to inspire you with a sporting and exciting competition. The fun of the game is always the focus. At the same time, we promote and live values such as fairness, cosmopolitanism and tolerance, which are elementary for respectful cooperation in our society.
  • What distinguishes the SOCCACUP from other tournaments/providers?

With our tournament series, we want to consciously set ourselves apart from other providers and offer the participating teams the following advantages:

    • Accommodation guarantee: You know the exact name of your accommodation right from the start. With many competitors, you often only choose the accommodation category (hostel, hotel, etc.), but you usually only find out the name 2-3 weeks before arrival.
    • Guaranteed pitches: As the market leader in Europe, we have the best quality natural and artificial grass pitches exclusively under contract, so we can always guarantee the best possible pitch quality.
    • Familiar character: We deliberately keep the number of participants manageable in order to keep the quality of the event high. Personal support is very important to us.
    • Short distances: There is a fixed venue for each team, which is close to the accommodation, so you don't have to commute back and forth between several facilities and therefore have more time for leisure activities on site.
  • Who can take part in the SOCCACUP?

The SOCCACUP tournaments are aimed at official club teams as well as academy teams that are not affiliated to an association. The age groups range from U09 to U19 for juniors. Girls' teams are also welcome to take part in our tournaments in a lower junior age group. Carers, parents, relatives and fans are also welcome to accompany you.

  • Is there a fixed registration deadline for the individual tournaments?

There is no fixed registration deadline, but we recommend that you start planning as early as possible, as many tournaments are fully booked early. We will be happy to reserve a starting place for you for two weeks so that we can clarify the willingness of players and parents.

  • Can I participate with several teams or can other teams from my club take part?

If we still have places available, we would be delighted if you could turn our SOCCACUP into a final trip for the whole club. You are of course welcome to contact your fellow coaches and pass on our tournament documents accordingly.

  • I would like to register my team for the SOCCACUP, what do I have to do?

We try to make the registration process as simple as possible. In order to confirm participation in the tournament, we need the individual offer signed and returned. Nowadays, an email with a scanned version as an attachment to team@fussballturniere.com or a cell phone picture of the signed registration form via WhatsApp to +43 660 600 17 43 is sufficient.

  • Can parents and other accompanying persons also come along?

Parents or siblings, friends and acquaintances are all welcome to come to the tournament with you - the tournament is even more fun with the right fan club . Of course, we will also put you all up in the same accommodation, as you want to experience the tournament together.

  • I am still unsure how many people will be taking part in the tournament trip, but can I already reserve a place?

We are aware that you cannot make the decision to take part in the tournament on your own and need time to discuss all the details with players and parents. We are therefore happy to reserve a starting place for you for 14 days in advance. Even if the final number of participants has not yet been determined after this time, you are welcome to make a booking if the offer meets your expectations. "Wobbly candidates" can be registered up to 4 weeks before arrival.

  • Can I add or remove people at a later date?

As we are not only tournament organizers, but also act as club officials ourselves, we are of course aware that there are always changes to a project of this kind. Therefore, registrations and cancellations can be made at any time up to four weeks before the start of the tournament. Until then, there are also no cancellation fees if individual persons are unable to make the trip as planned.

  • Do coaches/chaperones and/or parents pay the same price as the players?

In general, we do not make a distinction in the travel price. However, infants up to the age of 2 in their parents' bed (or in a baby crib brought along) are free of charge, and there is often a 30% discount for siblings under the age of 6.

  • Are there any other discounts/benefits?

The organization of a tournament trip involves an enormous amount of work. We would like to reward the commitment of the coach, so that there is one free place per team for the coach/organizer . In addition, there is another free place for a group of 25 or more people. In addition, our tournament winners receive a voucher of €250, which we are happy to offset against the next tournament participation.

  • How does the payment work?

Once you have registered for the tournament, we will send you a booking confirmation with all the payment details. A deposit of 30% of the total amount is then due within one week. The remaining 70% must be paid up to four weeks before the start of the tournament, until then the booking confirmation can be adjusted at any time (the amount is reduced if the number of participants has decreased; the amount is increased if additional people have joined). We are athletes ourselves, so we know exactly how decision-making processes work in a club. If deadlines cannot be met, please simply contact us.

  • Has the name of our accommodation already been decided?

This is our big advantage compared to other tournament providers: While you often only book one accommodation category - without knowing the name of the accommodation - we will send you the exact name of the accommodation in the first offer. So you can decide together with the parents whether this accommodation meets your expectations or whether you would like us to suggest an alternative.

  • Do we have to take care of the catering ourselves?

Our tournament package always consists of accommodation with half or full board. Breakfast and dinner are therefore always included in the price, and lunch is also included with full board. If the package only includes half board, you can get something to eat at lunchtime on the tournament site at a fair price.

  • We have people with food intolerances in the team, is this a problem with the catering?

No. After booking, each team will receive a checklist in which allergies, food intolerances or other requests can be noted. We will then inform our hotel partners accordingly.

  • Who can I contact during the event?

Personal support is very important to us. Of course, we cannot organize our tournaments without the organizing clubs on site, but we remain responsible for the entire tournament organization. Therefore, the person you have called in advance or received the offer from will also be on site as the main organizer. Our staff will be waiting for you on arrival and will assist you with check-in if necessary. Personal support will continue throughout the tournament so that you receive the best possible support in all matters on site.

  • How many games will we play on site?

Regardless of their performance in the preliminary round, each team is guaranteed five matches. The playing time is 2 x 15 minutes for matches in the U09 to U11 age groups, 2 x 20 minutes for matches in the U11 to U15 age groups and 2 x 25 minutes for matches in the U16 to U19 age groups. This means that each team will receive sufficient playing time.

  • What else is on offer on site?

Our tournaments take place in the most beautiful vacation regions in Europe, so you can be sure that there will also be plenty on offer away from the action. Our official tournament brochure clearly summarizes all the excursion options and leisure tips for players and accompanying persons, so you can get the most out of your team trip. In addition, we want to score points not only with an opening and closing ceremony, but also with numerous smaller side events that you can use during the non-match time (e.g. bubble soccer, shooting speed system, TeqBall, soccer billiards, and much more).

  • Is it possible to book additional overnight stays?

As our international children's and youth tournaments are held in the most beautiful vacation regions in Europe, the tournament period can of course be extended individually by booking additional nights before or after the event. If you are interested, we will be happy to send you an individual offer. The offer can also be taken up by individual persons/families, so the entire travel group does not have to extend the stay.

  • Is it possible to take out travel cancellation insurance in the event of last-minute cancellations?

Of course, we also offer travel cancellation insurance and a full protection insurance package as part of our tournaments. You can book the insurance as an option for each of our tournaments. We have concluded a framework agreement with our cooperation partner Allianz and can offer the insurance packages at favourable conditions. The rates apply from a minimum of 10 participants:
ELVIA Travel Cancellation Basic Protection: 3.7% of the average travel price per person
ELVIA full protection package: 5.0% of the average travel price per person

  • How do I get to the SOCCACUP with my team?

If enough accompanying persons are coming to the tournament or club coaches are available for the tournament period, we recommend that you organise your own travel to and from the tournament and the tournament transfer on site. However, we can also make you a flight or coach offer. Important: In our opinion, a private coach is only worthwhile from a financial point of view from 40 people upwards. Otherwise, the high fixed costs for fuel and driver are disproportionate to the inexpensive tournament package. However, if the travel group is large enough or several teams have joined together in the club, travelling by coach can certainly be a cost-effective alternative to private travel.

  • Is there medical care on site?

Of course, we always hope that all teams can return home without injury. However, we are of course prepared for the worst-case scenario. Nothing is more important to us than the well-being of our participating teams. Therefore, there will be a doctor or paramedic at each venue to provide first aid in the event that a player is injured during the tournament. In addition, the venues are usually close to a hospital, so that in an emergency, players can be quickly transported to the nearest emergency room by ambulance.

  • What is the insurance situation if a player is injured on site?

You have the option of having your tournament participation approved in advance by your responsible regional sports association using a corresponding form. In this case, insurance cover is provided by the regional association in the same way as for training and matches at home. All participating teams in our tournaments will be sent the corresponding form or a detailed description of how to obtain the form once their participation has been confirmed.
